Hi there,
I know this is going to sound crazy but I am looking for a man who was born in South Dakota on 21 May 1936. I found 3 men so far. The reason I am looking for him or now his family (since he is more than likely deceased), my grandmother Madeline Lorraine Kobes who lived in Mitchell SD on 21 May 1936, was raped at a barn dance at age 14 and had a baby at age 15. She was sent away to have him and it was a private adoption...no records remaining. She had him at Methodist State Hospital in Mitchell SD at 5:20 am. My grandmother passed away in the early 80's. She was a great woman and blamed her family for making her give up the baby and never spoke to them again. She moved to California with her eventual husband from Mitchell SD and they were married til they died. They had three kids together, one of which is my mom, her sister (who is mentally handicap) and their brother. Nobody's health is too good and it is my wish for them that I try to find their brother or his family so they know why he was given up. She searched for him til the day she died but had no luck. Now we have search engines, adoption organizations, ancestry dna, etc. From the picture of John A Brand here, he looks just like her father.....in fact, very much like her father. My grandmothers son may never have been told he was adopted but since he is probably passed and so are his parents, I thought it would be ok to try and find his remaining family.
