Mary Ann Hensley, age 85 of Randolph, NE and formerly of Yankton, SD passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Randolph, NE. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, SD with Rev. Rod Veldhuizen officiating. Burial will be in the Yankton Cemetery. Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mary was born April 29, 1928 in Anoka, NE to Irwin and Bessie (Deming) Armfield.
Mary taught in several Nebraska and South Dakota schools before moving to Yankton to teach in the elementary school. She retired from teaching to work in the Yankton Office, South Dakota Department of Social Services.
She greatly enjoyed her last year of life at the Colonial Manor, Randolph, NE.
She is survived by her brother, Aaron and sister-in law, Marge Armfield of Omaha, NE; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard, parents, Irwin and Bessie Armfield, brother, John and sister-in law, Mariesther Armfield.
