Obituary of Shawn Michael Larson

Shawn Michael Larson, age 40, of Yankton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton with Rev. Steve Weispfennig officiating. Burial of Shawn's cremated remains will be at a later date. Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Shawn was born on July 30, 1973 to Larry and Linda (McNeil) Larson in Denver, CO. Shawn graduated from Yankton High School. Shawn worked 17 years at Baldwin Filters, Aquatech for 2 years and most recently, at Sapa Extrusions. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman. He was a loved son, brother, good friend and dedicated father. Shawn is survived by his grandmother, Florence Larson; parents, Larry and Linda Larson; sister, Kimberly (Chris) Larson Brown; and his two children, daughter, Haley and son, Jacob.
