Darin James Block, age 46 of Menno passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Menno-Olivet Care Center, Menno, SD. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton with Rev. Dani Jo Ninke officiating. Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Darin was born December 7, 1967 in Day County, South Dakota to George Anton and Micheal "Mickey" Mae (Huber) Block.
Darin lived in the here and now. He didn't care about news or if it was cold out. He just wanted to wear his shorts, drink a Mountain Dew and eat a big ol' Whopper. He enjoyed WWE Wrestling and watching the Packers win. His smile and laugh made everyone around him smile, no matter the situation. He touched many people.
He is survived by his sisters, Bernice Cox of Yankton, SD and Michelle Severson of Clark, SD. He loved all of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
