Aunt Arlene was always so special to my family. She and Uncle Martin made everyone feel welcome in their home. Our daughters always begged to go to South Dakota to visit them each summer as soon as school was out. Such sweet memories! I sure wish I could be there for my precious cousins.

So sorry to hear of Arlene’s passing. She was my mother’s 1st cousin and came to visit us along with her family. She and Mom were great friends. As I remember her, she always had a loving smile and sweet disposition. May she rest in peace.

Grandma Bertsch had a smile that was infectious, stories that were top notch, a freezer full of ice cream bars, & hugs that were far better than anyone else’s grandma could ever give.
As great as those things were about Grandma though, they held no comparison to the unwavering faith she had in her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She & grandpa made sure to bring their children up in the Christian faith & taught them to love & serve the Lord. Years later, Arie, Audrey, Ken, Marlys, & Julie took their rooted love for the Lord, & shared it with their children. And still today, Grandmas greatest legacy lives on, as her great grandchildren are being raised to love & serve the Lord as well.
What a gift she has given to our family, both here on earth & for eternity. God be praised for Grandma serving the Lord with gladness all the days of her life! What a joy it is to know that we will see her once again!
