Mabel enjoyed visiting my grandmother, Edith Smith, at her farm in Tennessee. This is where I first met her. There were many great conversations had on grandmother's porch on summer nights. Later, when I went to graudate school at the University of South Daktoa, Mabel and Ward invited their distant Tennesse relative into their home for occassional visits and Thanksgiving meals. I remember distinctly many of those visits. Mable introduced me to pheasant for Thansgiving and make some special kolache's for me. I attended a couple of church services with her and we had many great conversations. It was so great to have a relative so close to univeristy yet so far away from my traditional home. I loved to send cards and letters to Mabel when I had a chance and it was so great to see her on her 100th birthday. Thank you for so many wonderful memories. I'll miss you!

Mrs. Winningham was my 4th grade teacher in Tyndall. I loved her so much! I wish I'd have know she was still in her own place in Tyndall--I bet she would've remembered me! She was such a wonderful lady. I have remembered her for 46 years! I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you all in my prayers. With Love, Tammy (Hill) Kokesh
