Peg and all,
Your mom was ALWAYS so kind and friendly EVERY time I ran into her, as was your dad! She would always ask about my folks and would chat away like she had all the time in the world for me! It's so hard saying good-bye to our parents. Please know how much you are all in my thoughts. Time is a true "helper."
Prayers...Deanna(Gross) Garvey

I am saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I have no great words of wisdom to offer you other than rest assured your mother is reunited with your father in heaven. I have fond memories growing up with our families - from your big house on Walnut Street, to you guys babysitting us when our parents were out, going to summer movies at the old Dakota Theater, feeding your cat Bootsie when you were on vacation, to watching the annual Riverboat Days parade with you. And even though we are not together as often as we used to be, you are still in our thoughts and prayers. May the peace of our Lord be with you to comfort you at this time. There will be a day when we are all together again.

You are all in my prayers. Your parents (and you "kids") were such a part of my family's life up on Walnut Street, and then I looked forward to seeing the two of them on Sunday mornings in church. I have missed your dad, and now I will miss your mom, too. Kathy Grow

Nancy and siblings: Your mom was a special lady. During all the Girl Scout camps & experiences, she showed me patience and nurturing. From my mom, I heard all about your parents’ dancing talents. Your mom has regained health in heaven. God bless your family during this time. Love you, Nancy.

To the Family of Illa Mae,
Heaven has added an Angel; your Mother was such a kind person. I remember always gathering at her house for a get together and sitting around the table talking about all the memories the sisters shared together! And we can't forget the scrumptious homemade carmel rolls that were shared by all. Mae had a beautiful smile and I can still hear her sweet chuckle of a laugh! She will be missed by all!
God bless you and your family and watch over you during this most difficult time.

I always felt like Mae was the kind of doting, proud grandma that I hope to be. She was the best example of a matriarch, always thinking of her family. She has left her loving influence on her kids and grandkids and greats. She will be so very missed.
All my hugs to the family, Michelle Felton

Kathy and family,
Your parents were our “Yankton parents” for so many years. Mae was so dear to me! It is comforting to know she is with Chuck once again. May all your special memories of her help you during these sad times.
