Dear Judy and Family,
My thoughts are with you all during your time of loss. Dan gave me so many extra chances when I was young, the first as an employee given a second chance, then his first and only Coors Campus Rep at USD, sponsoring the Yankton baseball teams, both the Jacks and later the Brewers. Dan stepped up for the USD Rugby team while I was in college by sponsoring "beverages" for our home matches. I remember him telling Bob it was only if we won the match, but we needed one for every home game and he donated to our cause regardless of whether we won or lost. There was one year when the rugby team even entered a "float" in the Dakota Days parade, we decorated it in Stroh's gear and handed out Coors Light hats. At the pre-parade line up we were given extra scrutiny by security and the police looking for contraband, but they didn't find a single can of beer.
A life truly well lived. He gave so much, and helped so many.
