Obituary of Michael L. Grant

GRANT MICHAEL

Michael L. Grant, age 71 of Yankton, SD passed away unexpectedly at his residence, Monday, August 12, 2019.  Private family graveside services will be held at the Yankton Cemetery, Yankton, SD.  The Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory, Yankton, SD is assisting with the service details.  Online condolences may be sent at: www.opsahl-kostelfuneralhome.com. 

Michael was born on September 6, 1947 to Buck and Lillian Grant in Freemont, NE.  Mike lived in Omaha, NE until joining the Marine Corp after high school.  He then worked in construction, telecommunications and ranched in western NE until retiring in rural Yankton, SD.   Mike and Sue were married September 16, 1983. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Michael (Jacque) Grant; grandchildren, Rachel Grant and Taylor Grant; brother, Lynn (Bonnie) Grant; niece, Carey (Sean) Keenan; nephew, Dusty (Ivelyng) Grant and special cousin Sandi and Aspen. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda.
