Obituary of Sherril Fern Christensen

CHRISTENSEN SHERRIL

                         Sherril was born August 10, 1936 in Sioux City, IA. She married Francis "Chris" Christensen on November 22, 1956 in Spencer, IA. They spent many of their early years of marriage in Spring Valley, CA where Sherril was a stay-at-home mom. In May of 1973 the Christensen family moved to Yankton, SD. Sherril continued to be a stay-at-home mom until 1979 when she went to work at Ace Hardware, a career that lasted for 25 years. After her retirement from Ace, Sherril spent her time with Chris down at their store, Meredith's Jewelry.

            Sherril enjoyed ballroom dancing, attending all the activities of her granddaughters and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

            Sherril's memory is cherished by her daughter, Kathy (Ray) Campbell of Yankton, SD; son, Dennis Christensen of San Jose, CA; her granddaughters: Kristal (Paul) Moneke of Sioux Falls, SD, Rochelle Campbell of Denver, CO, Abiane Campbell of Denver, CO, Stephanie Campbell of Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Christensen of Milford, IA and family.

            She was proceeded in death by the love of her life, husband of 56 years, Francis "Chris" Christensen; her brother, Mark Seaman; sister-in-law, Rose Seaman; brother-in-law, Theodore Christensen; grandson, Gabriel Lee Campbell; her parents and many aunts and uncles.
